(Danish ?) Dough Whisk

Guest post by Peter.

When Clothilde blogged about here Danish Dough Whisk, I knew that I had to get one, too. Luckily, I had a trip to Copenhagen planned - and what better place to get one of them, or so one would think. It turned out, however, that the Danish are not aware of this invention (and I asked at many places: Royal Copenhagen, Illum, ...). Back in SF, I tried my luck at Williams Sonoma, but all I got was a snappy reply that I should rather try in Denmark. Hrrmph.
Finally, I was successful when I least expected it: in a little shop called Creative Cookware in Murphys in Gold Rush Country. And even there, it was a close call - the first attendant didn't have a clue what I was talking about (not surprisingly, go ahead and try to describe it to somebody!), but the shop owner overheard our conversation as we were about to leave the store and pointed us in the right direction. So, ta-da, here it is: it sports a sturdy handle and a really tough metal wire. Whisking dough with it is astonishingly easy, almost nothing ever sticks and the little loop in the middle is great for mashing ingredients together. How could I have ever baked without it? :)
